HIGH SCHOOL: As a senior at Kings Ridge Christian, batted .402 with 42 hits, 32 RBIs and two home runs ... He was named All-Region as a catcher and pitcher, while receiving All-State honors at catcher ... Team won the region and advanced to the Elite 8 of the state tournament ... As a junior batted .412 with 40 hits and 20 RBIs as the team won region and state championships ... Named All-Region and All-State for baseball and was a preseason All-American, along with team MVP honors ... As a sophomore, he batted .490 with 55 hits and 35 RBIs as the team won the state championship ... Also was a running back for the football team, earning team MVP honors and All-Region recognition.
