Member of the 2024 Southern Conference Tournament championship team that earned the program’s first-ever NCAA Tournament win in the Chapel Hill Regional.

2026: Did not see action … Named to the SoCon Academic Honor Roll.

2025: Made one start on the mound before missing the rest of the season due to injury … Started at Davidson (2/26) and pitched 2.0 innings with three strikeouts. 

2024: Made 15 appearances with five starts … Posted an 8.22 ERA with a 3-2 record… Totaled 25 strikeouts over 35.2 innings … Made debut with two strikeouts in 3.1 innings of relief against Bucknell (2/17) with just one run and three hits surrendered to earn the win … At College of Charleston (3/15), tossed 2.0 scoreless and hitless innings with one punchout … Made first start at Winthrop (3/26) before pitching a career-high 5.0 innings at Elon (4/3) for the win with three strikeouts … Posted back-to-back scoreless outings against Winthrop (5/1) and at Gardner-Webb (5/5) with 2.0 innings of one-hit ball and two strikeouts against the Eagles and 2.1 innings of two-hit work with two punchouts against the Runnin’ Bulldogs for the win … In the SoCon Tournament against Samford (5/25), started and pitched 4.0 innings with just one run allowed and two strikeouts to no walks … In the NCAA Tournament against LSU (6/2), struck out one batter in one inning of work.

HIGH SCHOOL: Has twice earned all-region and all-state honors while also twice participating in the East-West All-Star Game ... At Flowery Branch High School, owned a 1.98 ERA with a 0.89 WHIP ... An honors grad, also had an elementary school mentorship.

PERSONAL: Birthday is July 19 ... Son of Josh and Alicia Compton ... Majoring in finance.
