Chase Hughes joined the Wofford baseball staff in August of 2025 as director of player development.
Hughes spent the 2024 and 2025 seasons as a graduate assistant with the Clemson University baseball team. He assisted with operational and on-field aspects, along with preparing opponent scouting reports. He developed individualized player plans using 643 Charts, Blast Motion, Trackman, and Synergy. In addition, he works with Team Elite baseball based out of Winder, Georgia.
A four-year letterman at Presbyterian College, he appeared in 99 career games at first and third base. He started 32 games as a senior and was named CSC Academic All-District.
A native of Conway, S.C., he earned a bachelor of science degree in business management in May of 2023 from Presbyterian College. He added a master of science in athletic leadership from Clemson University in May of 2025.
