Zagrodnik began his Terrier career as a player in 2023 and has since transitioned into the dugout in a student assistant role with the coaching staff.
As a player:
Member of the 2024 Southern Conference Tournament championship team that earned the program’s first-ever NCAA Tournament win in the Chapel Hill Regional.
2024: Did not see action… Named to the SoCon Academic Honor Roll.
2023: Played in 13 games… Scored four runs and stole a base… In game two of a doubleheader against Sacred Heart (3/4), scored a run as a pinch-runner… Scored a run at Winthrop (3/7) … Against Cincinnati (3/11), swiped first steal of career by stealing home… Against Presbyterian (4/11), scored a run as a pinch-runner... Named to Southern Conference Academic Honor Roll.
HIGH SCHOOL: Helped lift Buford High School to an undefeated 32-0 regular season to secure a region title, making it to the second round of the playoffs... A four-year varsity letterman, Zagrodnik earned all-region and April player of the month honors in his junior season... He posted a .380 batting average and was sound defensively as well, securing a .997 fielding percentage... He excelled in the classroom, too, being named a four-year academic letter winner.
PERSONAL: Birthday is August 7... Son of Frank and Natasha Zagrodnik... Majoring in finance... Father played football from 1989-92 and mother played tennis from 1991-95, both at University of Wisconsin-La Crosse... Uncle, Conrad Emmerich, played football professionally for the Chicago Bears from 1997-2000.
