The victory improved Kennedy’s record to 7-0 with 54 strikeouts in 49 innings . . . Was instrumental in leading Broome to a No. 1 state Class AA ranking and a 10-0 region record . . . Tossed 11 consecutive no-hit innings as a senior . . . As a junior, was 3-1 with a 1.16 ERA . . . Named to the All-Academic Team at the 2005 Li’L Cricket Upstate Diamond Classic . . . His other grandfather, Whit Kennedy Sr., played basketball and tennis for the Terriers . . . An uncle, Robby Chapman, played football at Clemson.
