HIGH SCHOOL: Lettered twice in football at Panther Creek High School in Cary, North Carolina and earned All-Conference honors both seasons ... As a junior threw for 3,729 yards with 40 passing touchdowns, along with 335 rushing yards and five touchdowns as he earned All-Conference honors ... Team was 10-4 overall and reached the Elite Eight of the state playoffs ... Missed his senior season due to injury ... During his sophomore season he had 2,087 passing yards and 24 touchdowns as the team was 8-1 in the spring season and advanced to the Elite Eight of the state playoffs ... His father signed with the San Diego Chargers as a rookie free agent and his mother played professionally in the WNBA and overseas... Both parents were student-athletes at the University of California Berkley, with his mother inducted into the Cal Athletic Hall of Fame in 2013.
