Sam Murphy joined the staff in June of 2026 as defensive quality control. He works primarily with the inside linebackers.
He played at Stonehill College, starting 18 games at linebacker with 142 career tackles. As a senior, he started ten games with 68 tackles, 8.8 tackles for loss, two sacks and a pair of interceptions. He earned All-Northeast Conference first team honors and was an Academic All-District honoree.
A native of Lockport N.Y., Murphy played football and baseball at St. Joseph’s Collegiate Institute. He earned a bachelor of science degree in business administration with a finance major from Stonehill in 2024. He spent the last two years as an analyst for Deloitte & Touche.
