Matt Morris

Matt Morris is in his second season on the Wofford staff as Director of Basketball Operations. In this role, he is responsible for travel planning, video operations, and other duties.

As a senior at Clemson, he earned a scholarship after the previous three seasons as a walk-on. He played in 54 career games with one start and scored a total of 69 points. He was named to the ACC All-Academic Team in the 2006-07 season as he played in 21 games and scored 38 points. The 38 points were a single-season high for a walk-on at Clemson. Morris also earned a spot on the ACC Academic Honor Roll in each of his four seasons.

He scored a career-high eleven points against Western Carolina in 2006. Against Boston College in 2007 he scored eight points in nine minutes on the floor. He lettered all four seasons for the Tigers.

After graduation from Clemson, he played the 2008-09 season with an exhibition team in France, averaging 32.1 points and 7.1 rebounds in 34 games. He also played professionally in Bree, Belgium. He remained in Europe and in 2009-10 was head coach at the 22ft Academy in France. The team was composed of 17-22 year olds looking to go to college in the United States or play professionally.

Morris was a five-year letterman in basketball at Andrews High School. He is the school record holder for three-pointers (143) and free throw percentage (79.9).  He was a three-time 7A All-Region selection and earned AA All-State honors as a senior. He also played in the South Carolina North-South All-Star game.

A native of Georgetown, South Carolina, he graduated from Clemson in 2008 with a degree in sports marketing. He and his wife, Kaitlyn, reside in Spartanburg.
