The 2024-25 season saw the team claim its sixth Southern Conference championship and NCAA Tournament berth in program history. The Terriers earned their eighth-straight winning season, posting a 19-16 overall record and a 10-8 record in conference play. Kyler Filewich and Corey Tripp earned All-Southern Conference honors. Jackson Sivills joined Tripp on the Southern Conference All-Tournament Team, while Filewich was named the Southern Conference Tournament MVP.

Last season the Terriers posted a 17-15 overall record and a 10-8 mark in league play. It was the seventh-straight season that the team posted a winning record. Corey Tripp earned All-Southern Conference honors, leading the team with 15.6 points per game.

During the 2022-23 season, the Terriers were 17-16 overall. B.J. Mack was named All-Southern Conference following the season, which saw the team upset the #3 seed UNCG Spartans in the quarterfinals of the SoCon Tournament to advance to the semifinals.

The 2021-22 season saw a 19-win campaign with a 19-13 overall clip and a 10-8 league record. The Terriers reached the semifinals of the Southern Conference Tournament and were selected for a postseason tournament. Despite a 2020-21 season that was marred by the COVID-19 pandemic, Wofford finished just a half game out of first place in the league with a 12-5 record. The 2019-20 campaign saw Wofford achieve 19 victories, highlighted by a 68-64 win at No. 17 North Carolina, the program’s second win over an AP Top 25 squad, and a remarkable run to the Southern Conference Championship Game.

After the completion of the 2019-20 season, Murphy was named to the NABC Under Armour 30 Under 30 list which highlighted the top 30 coaches in men's basketball under the age of 30.

During the 2018-19 season the Terriers posted a 30-5 overall record, including a perfect 18-0 mark in Southern Conference play. They won the Southern Conference Tournament title. In the NCAA Tournament, the Terriers were a seventh-seed and a win over Seton Hall sent Wofford to the second round, the league’s first NCAA Tournament victory in 11 years.

The team was ranked in the Associated Press Top 25 for the first time ever, ending the season at #19. They were also ranked #18 in the final USA Today Coaches Poll. Fletcher Magee was named Southern Conference Player of the Year, along with honorable mention All-America recognition and Lou Henson National Player of the Year recipient as the top mid-major player in Division I. Cameron Jackson joined Magee on the first team All-Southern Conference team by both the media and coaches.

In his first season in 2017-18, Murphy primarily helped with the guards. Fletcher Magee (SoCon Player of the Year by the media and First-Team All-SoCon) and Storm Murphy (All-Freshman Team) took home conference honors as Wofford finished 21-13. He also handled all travel logistics and prepared scouting reports on opponents.

Before joining the Terriers, Murphy spent the previous season as the director of player development for Wake Forest. Prior to that role, Murphy spent three seasons in Winston-Salem as the video coordinator and the director of technology and scouting for the Demon Deacons.

Murphy started his career at Wake Forest as a student manager before joining the active roster as a walk-on guard.
