Rated a two star recruit according to www.tennisrecruiting.net... Was ranked 147 in the southeast and 14 in the state of North Carolina in the USTA junior rankings. McKee reached the North Carolina High School 3A State Singles Championships semi-finals in 2008 and the finals in 2009… McKee helped lead his team, Lake Norman High School, to a 30-4 record over the past two seasons and a ranking of number one in the state.
