Part of the 2022-23 Regular Season Southern Conference Championship squad, the first-ever SoCon title for any Wofford women’s team sport.
CAREER: In three seasons with Wofford, played in 68 games, starting each one… Scored 1,295 points (19.0 ppg) with 458 rebounds (6.7 rpg), 324 assists, 11 blocks, and 138 steals… Wofford career record holder for scoring average (19.0), free throw percentage (83.3), and assists average (4.8) … Finished 10th on Wofford’s all-time scoring leaderboard… Ranks third on Wofford’s three-point percentage leaderboard (39.4) and eighth for field goal percentage (49.9) … Wofford single-season record holder for points (670, 23-24), field goals (237, 23-24), free throws (140, 23-24), free throw percentage (.870, 23-24), defensive rebounds (195, 23-24), assists (163, 23-24), and minutes (1,097, 22-23) … Streak of 49-straight contests with double-digit points is longest in program history… Had 13 career double-doubles, third most in program history… Recorded first triple-double in program history against Furman on January 20, 2024… Back-to-back Southern Conference Player of the Year in 2022-23 and 2023-24, the first Terrier to win it twice, let alone back-to-back… Two-time All-SoCon First Team member… Twice named to the SoCon All-Tournament Team… CSC Academic All-America Second Team selection in 2023-24… Finalist for the Becky Hammon Mid-Major Player of the Year Award in 2023-24, the first in program history… Three-time SoCon Student-Athlete of the Week… Eight-time SoCon Player of the Week… Five-time SoCon Player of the Month, including the first in program history… Over four-year career, including freshman season at USC Upstate (2021-22), scored 1,675 points (17.3 ppg) with 606 rebounds (6.2 rpg), 427 assists, 19 blocks, and 184 steals.
2024-25: Started all six games played, missing time early in the season with injury before being sidelined the rest of the campaign with further injury… Scored 75 points with 26 rebounds, 28 assists, and 10 steals… Shot 39.1 percent from the floor with a free throw mark of 81.3 percent… Scored in double-digits in four games with two 20-pieces… Had four assists and two steals against Newberry (11/4) in the season opener… Missed a month with injury, returning to action against App State (12/7) with 13 points, seven assists, and five rebounds… Scored 23 points at No. 19 Duke (12/18) … Had 15 points at Lehigh (12/21) with four steals and seven assists… At No. 2 South Carolina (12/29), posted 20 points and eight rebounds against the defending national champion… Dished seven assists against Erskine (1/2).
2023-24: Started all 30 games and averaged 35.9 minutes per game… Led Southern Conference in scoring (22.3 points per game), points (670), assist/turnover ratio (2.26), assists (163), assists per game (5.4), free throw percentage (87.0) and steals per game (2.13) … Scoring clip finished seventh in the nation… Set single-season program records for points, free throw percentage and assists… Shot 50.4 percent overall and 40.3 percent from three… Recorded eight double-doubles and program’s first-ever triple-double… Repeated as Southern Conference Player of the Year… Named a finalist for the Becky Hammon Mid-Major Player of the Year Award and was on the watch list for the Ann Meyers Drysdale USBWA National Player of the Year… Seven-time SoCon Player of the Week, three-time SoCon Player of the Month and three-time SoCon Student-Athlete of the Week… Opened season with 24 points and nine rebounds at Wake Forest (11/6) … Posted 21 points against UNCW (11/11) with five assists and seven rebounds… Recorded her 1,000th career point against NC Central (11/14) as part of a 22-point, seven-assist and seven-rebound night… Dished eight assists with 22 points at High Point (11/17) … Against Southern Wesleyan (11/27), posted first double-double of season with 13 points and 10 rebounds… Scored 28 points in back-to-back games against UNC Asheville (11/29) and Bellarmine (12/2) … Recorded three-straight double-doubles against Power Five opponents, first posting 21 points and 10 rebounds at Virginia (12/16) with the game-winning score to seal a historic win… Added 23 points and 13 boards at Tennessee (12/19) before posting 22 points with six made threes at Georgia (12/30) alongside 12 boards and six assists… Tallied 26 points and 12 rebounds at UNCG (1/11) … Netted 33 points at Western Carolina (1/13) … Against Furman (1/20), posted 19 points, 16 rebounds and 11 assists to secure the first triple-double in program history… Followed with 32 points against Mercer (1/25) with a 14-of-14 showing at the free throw line… Added a double-double against Samford (1/27) with 21 points and 11 rebounds… Secured 500th career rebound at Chattanooga (2/1) and scored 1,000th point as a Terrier two days later at ETSU (2/3) with 24 points and 14 boards for a double-double… Shot 11-of-19 against UNCG (2/10) to score 27 points with eight board and seven helpers… Ended regular season with 25 points against ETSU (2/29) and 21 more against Chattanooga (3/2) … In the semifinals of the SoCon Tournament, posted a career-best 38 points against UNCG (3/8) to fall two shy of the program single-game record, shooting 15-of-31 from the floor with four steals and five rebounds… Named to the CSC Academic All-District Team and to the CSC Academic All-America Second Team.
2022-23: Started all 32 games, setting a new single-season program record… Led team in scoring (550 points, 17.2 per game), shooting percentage (.513), three-point percentage (.413), rebounding (182, 5.7 per game), assists (133, 4.2 per game) and minutes (1,097, 34:16 per game) … Among Southern Conference leaders, topped the league in assist/turnover ratio (2.02), shooting percentage (51.3), made field goals (197) and points (550) … Ranked second in assists (133) and assist average (4.2) … Second-most points in a single season in program history… Set program record for minutes in a single season by playing 1,097 minutes… Named Southern Conference Player of the Year… Earned All-SoCon First Team and SoCon All-Tournament Team selections… Became program’s first-ever SoCon Player of the Month in November before winning it a second time for February… Established a new program record for consecutive double-digit scoring games, finishing the season with a still active mark of 19… Scored in double figures in all but two games, leading team in scoring 15 times… Recorded five double-doubles to lead team… Posted 19 points in Wofford debut at Youngstown State (11/7) … Tallied first of 10 20-pieces with 23 points against Coastal Carolina (11/16) to lead team, also dishing six assists for a third-straight game… Had 24 points with four assists at High Point (11/19) … Against Davidson (11/30), shot 10-of-13 for then-season-high 27 points… Recorded first double-double as a Terrier with 10 points and career-high 13 boards against App State (12/3) … Added another double-double with 18 points and 10 boards at UNC Asheville (12/19) … Against Furman (1/5), was just shy of a triple-double with 16 points, seven assists and eight rebounds… Posted a double-double at UNCG with 15 points and 12 boards at UNCG (1/14) … Added another with 15 points and 10 boards at Mercer (1/26) to aid in Wofford’s first-ever win in Macon… At Furman (2/4), scored 22 points and dished career-best eight assists… Took over at Chattanooga (2/18), scoring career-high 32 points to become first Terrier with 30 or more points in a contest since 2019, shooting 12-of-20 with seven boards… Followed with eight assists against Samford (2/23) to match career high, adding 23 points… Recorded another double-double with 25 points and 10 rebounds against Mercer (2/25) to help Wofford win the SoCon Regular Season Championship… Scored 25 points in the opening round of the SoCon Tournament against Western Carolina (3/2) … Swiped career-best seven steals against UNCG (3/3) in the semifinals while adding 15 points… In the WNIT at Florida (3/16), scored 19 points to lead team with six rebounds.
BEFORE WOFFORD: With USC Upstate, Rose posted 13.1 points per game on a 54.6 percent shooting clip and a three-point mark of 40.3 percent… She was second on the Spartans squad with both her scoring average and her rebounding mark of 5.1… Running the point was where she shined even brighter, dishing 3.6 assists per game to lead the team and rank fifth in the Big South… She was also stellar at the charity stripe, knocking down 81.9 percent of her free throws, third best in the Big South… This all led to eight different Big South Freshman of the Week honors, and her rookie accolades were capped with a Big South Freshman of the Year recognition… She also earned a spot on the Big South All-Freshman Team and Honorable Mention All-Big South honors.
HIGH SCHOOL: At Scranton Prep, Rose scored in double-figures each of her four seasons, including a personal-best of 19 PPG her junior year… She garnered all-league, all-region and all-state selections all four seasons... Her Scranton Prep squad made the state playoffs each of her four seasons, going as far as the state quarterfinals twice – her junior and senior seasons… That junior campaign in 2019-20 saw the team go a perfect 28-0 before the season was unfortunately ended in that quarterfinal round due to the Covid-19 pandemic… Rose ended her high school career by averaging 16 PPG, five APG and seven RPG in her senior season.
PERSONAL: Born on June 28, 2002… Daughter of Tim and Kathy Rose… Has four siblings, Maddie, Timmy, Kathleen and Patrick... Aunt Missy played basketball at UConn, uncle Craig played basketball at Army and brother Timmy played basketball at Binghamton from 2015-19… Majoring in psychology.
