Jenny Garrity joined the Wofford women's basketball staff in the Basketball Operations role in the fall of 2025. She enters her first season with the Terriers.
Garrity has extensive experience within college athletics, previously as a tennis coach. She served as a Division I head women's tennis coach with stints at North Carolina State, Kansas, and UNC Wilmington. She is a five-time coach of the year honoree between the ACC, Big XII, CAA, and ITA, and she has led two different programs to NCAA Tournament appearances. Garrity has recorded ITA National Ranking team records, school records for season and conference win totals as well as 28 players earning All-Conference recognition, including a Big XII Player of the Year recipient. Thirteen of Garrity's teams were named ITA Team Academic All-Americans.
Outside of athletics, Garrity spent 15 years as an adjunct professor between UNC Wilmington and Clemson University in the PE/Health Department.
Prior to coaching tennis, Garrity was a standout player on the court at North Carolina State as a four-year starter and a team captain. A two-time All-ACC player, she became the first player in Wolfpack history to earn an ITA National Ranking. Garrity was named to the ACC 50th Anniversary Team and was named as one of the top 50 players in ACC history. While a student-athlete, Garrity was involved off the court as a three-year member and a senior officer of NC State's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC).
A 1992 graduate of NC State, Garrity earned her bachelor's degree in Communication Studies with a concentration in public relations. Garrity is married to Jimmy Garrity. The couple have three children - daughter Kacey Rugg (husband Mark), who is the Director of Development for the Gamecock Club at South Carolina; son Corey, who played tennis at Anderson University and is now a student assistant coach for the Trojans women's basketball program; and daughter Carly, who is currently a student at Wofford and a constant presence at Terrier games.
