Katelyn Young joined the Wofford staff in the summer of 2025 as an assistant athletic trainer. She will work with the women’s basketball team, cheerleading and rifle.
During the 2024-25 academic year she was an assistant athletic trainer at Randolph College, working primarily with the women’s soccer, tennis, swimming, and men’s volleyball teams.
A 2022 graduate of Randolph College with a degree in sport and exercise science, she also earned a masters in athletic training from the University of Lynchburg in 2024. She also has experience with the Lynchburg Hillcats baseball team and women’s sports at Sweet Briar College.
A native of Rock Hill, S.C., she played volleyball at Randolph College and also served as a coach for the Wildcats for several seasons. She is a certified athletic trainer through the National Athletic Trainers’ Association.
