Cord Sgaglio joined the cross country and track coaching staff in the fall of 2021. He will work primarily with the distance runners.
In his first season with the Terriers, the distance group was led by Carson Archie setting school records in the indoor 5,000 meters, outdoor 5,000 meters and outdoor 10,000 meters.
Prior to joining Wofford, he was the head men’s and women’s cross country coach and assistant track and field coach at Limestone. He also spent two seasons as the graduate assistant cross country and track and field coach at Converse College.
Sgaglio was a three-year member of the Limestone cross country and track and field teams from 2012-2015 after one year at SUNY Buffalo. Sgaglio served as a member of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee, the Coaches Council as well as serving as a Compliance Office Intern during his senior season.
He was crowned the indoor track and field 800 meter champion in his senior campaign leading to All-Region honors in the same season. He ranks second all-time on the men’s cross country 10K list. He was a two-year team captain and two-time cross country team MVP.
Sgaglio earned a Bachelor of Science in Sports Management from Limestone in 2015. He holds a USATF Level 1 coaching certification and a Level 2 certification in endurance events from the USATF as well. He is also a certified technical coach through the USTFCCCA.
