HIGH SCHOOL: Since being called up to the Lake Norman varsity squad as a freshman during the playoffs, Cherry scored 42 runs, notched 41 RBI and tallied an .859 OPS with nine doubles and a pair of homers... Earned Greater Metro 4 A All-Conference recognition with an All-County Outfielder selection… Was also a member of the 2022 Body Amor NC State Games baseball team… A National Honors Society member, Cherry ranked in the top six percent of his class academically.
 
PERSONAL: Birthday is October 19… Parents are John and Lydia Cherry… Brother, Connor, played soccer as a goalkeeper for VMI from 2021-23… Mother played softball at Toledo from 1989-92… Father played collegiately at Appalachian State from 1985-88… Majoring in government.
