2016: Started in five of the six games he appeared …Scored his only goal of the season in his Terrier debut against Presbyterian (8/26).

BEFORE WOFFORD: A midfielder who transferred from VCU, Welsh hails from Edinburgh, Scotland… After his freshman year in high school, attended Battlefield High School in Haymarket, Virginia. At Battlefield, Welsh led the team to an 8-2 record and a district championship in his senior year… On the season, Welsh led the team with nine goals and eight assists… In addition, Welsh was named to the Washington Post’s First Team All-Metro and was named to the All-District team as well... On the club level, he played for BRYC and helped the win the Jeff Cup twice, along with victories in the Bethesda Premier Cup and the Ultimate Cup. 

PERSONAL: Born on November 8, 1996 in Edinburgh, Scotland... Son of Brian and Susan Welsh...  Father, Brian, is a former soccer standout who played professionally in Scotland...  Undecided on major.
