Brad Loesing Named Academic All-District

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Wofford College men’s basketball student-athlete Brad Loesing has been named to the CoSIDA/Capital One Academic All-District First Team.

Loesing, a junior from Cincinnati, Ohio, has started all 22 games at point guard for the Terriers this season. He is averaging 6.3 points per game and 3.7 assists per game. He is ranked fourth in the Southern Conference in assist/turnover ratio. For his career at Wofford, he has started 86 of 87 games played and is averaging 3.1 assists per game. Loesing is majoring in business economics.

This is only the third Academic All-District honor received by a men’s basketball player at Wofford, joining Harold Jackson (1982) and Greg O’Dell (1992). Loesing will advance to the national ballot for Academic All-America honors to be announced at the end of February.

The Capital One Academic All-District team is selected by members of the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). Wofford is in the third district, which includes schools in Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia and Florida. Nominees must have at least a 3.30 grade point average.

The Terriers will be in Charleston this week to face the College of Charleston on Thursday night and The Citadel on Saturday evening.
