SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Wofford College head women's soccer coach
Amy Kiah announced the Terriers have signed three players for the 2016 season to represent the incoming class of 2020.

Of the three players, the Terriers bring in one midfielder and two defenders representing two states, Georgia and South Carolina.
"We are excited about this recruiting class joining our team next fall," Coach Kiah said. "We are expecting these young ladies to help replace a strong 2015 senior class. We feel that these girls along with the talented group of returning players will help us have a successful 2016 season."

Committing to Wofford are Allie Cardew (Spartanburg, S.C.), Emily Macuga (Marietta, Ga.), and Erin Roche (Athens, Ga.).

Allie Cardew is a 5'9 center midfielder/defender who plays scholastically for Dorman High School in Spartanburg. She led her team this past season to a third place finish in the ECNL Southeast Conference while also leading her to team to a regional championship her sophomore season. She was named team MVP and offensive player of the year this past season, and was a AAAA All-Region player the past two seasons. She was also named the Iron Cav of Dorman in the fall while serving as team captain for the past three seasons. She scored 25 goals and notched 12 assists from 2013-2015 while starting every game of her high school career. An A-honor roll student and National Honor Society member, Cardew has been part of Junior Leadership Spartanburg since 2014.

Emily Macuga is a 5'4 center back from Marietta, Georgia, who has lettered in four seasons for Lassiter High School. She has helped her team to two district titles and three state finals appearances with her current season still ongoing. She earned First Team All-Region honors her past three seasons and team MVP defender honors her past two seasons. She scored the game-winning penalty kick goal to send her team to the 6A state playoffs her freshman season. She also lettered in track and field in high school, setting records in 4x100 relays, 4x400 relays and 400m dash. Macuga is an honor roll student and has earned her school's presidential academic award.

Erin Roche is a 5'3 defender/midfielder from Athens, Georgia, lettering all four years at North Oconee High School. She guided her team to region championships her past two seasons with her current season still ongoing. Serving as team captain her senior season, she is a three-time Northeast Georgia All-Region team player and two-time team Offensive Player of the Year. She was named team MVP her sophomore season and earned Region 8 Honorable Mention as a junior. She has over her past three seasons scored 42 goals and recorded 44 assists, scoring a personal-best 21 goals her freshman season. A member of the National Honor Society and Beta Club, she also serves on her school's student council and earned the Excellence Promoted in Oconeee County Schools (EPOCS) Award.

The eligibility of all student-athletes is contingent upon admission to Wofford College and compliance with all NCAA rules, including registration with the NCAA Eligibility Center.
