SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Former Wofford basketball standout Cameron Rundles signed a professional contract this week with the Leicester Riders of the British Basketball League. Rundles will begin play with the Riders in September.
A native of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Rundles graduated from Wofford in May. He finished his career with 706 points in only two seasons. During his senior season he was eleventh in the SoCon in scoring, tenth in minutes played and fifth in three pointers made. He was voted third team All-Southern Conference by the media.
He also earned spots on the 2010 and 2011 SoCon All-Tournament Teams. The Terriers won the Southern Conference Tournament Championship in both 2010 and 2011, reaching the NCAA Tournament for the first time in school history.
The Jelson Homes DMU Leicester Riders were founded on April 26th 1967, and are the oldest professional club in British Basketball, having been founder members of the National Basketball League (NBL) in 1972 and the British Basketball League (BBL) in 1987.
