SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Southern Conference announced its 2025-26 men's basketball league schedule presented by Ingles on Tuesday. The SoCon's 10 men's basketball teams will all play double-round-robin, 18-game intraleague schedules. Wofford, the 2025 defending SoCon Champions, will have nine SoCon home games at Jerry Richardson Indoor Stadium. The non-conference slate will be announced in the upcoming weeks.
The Terriers begin the conference schedule with back-to back road games as they visit Western Carolina on Dec. 31 and then travel to The Citadel on January 3. The first conference home game will be Wednesday, Jan. 7, against UNCG. After a trip to Mercer on Jan. 10, Wofford is back home on Jan. 14 to host the 2025 SoCon regular season and NIT champion Chattanooga. On Jan. 17, Wofford will visit newly renovated Timmons Arena to face Furman.
Back-to-back home games on Jan. 21 and Jan. 24 will see Samford and Mercer, respectively, visit Spartanburg. A road trip to Chattanooga on Jan. 29 will be followed by a home game against East Tennessee State on Jan. 31 to wrap up the first month of play.
A road trip to VMI on Feb. 4 is followed by a home game on Feb.7 against Western Carolina. Wofford is back on the road to face Samford on Feb.11 and then head to UNCG on Feb. 14 to play UNCG on Valentine's Day. Three of the final four regular season games will be played at Jerry Richardson Indoor Stadium, beginning with VMI on Feb. 18. Furman makes the short trip to Spartanburg on Saturday, Feb. 21. The last road game will see the Terriers visit East Tennessee State on Feb. 25, while on Feb. 28 a home game against The Citadel will close out the regular season.
The 2026 Ingles Southern Conference Basketball Championship will take place at Harrah's Cherokee Center – Asheville in Asheville, North Carolina, from March 6-9. The winner will earn an automatic bid to the 2026 NCAA Tournament.
