SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Wofford College football team held their annual banquet on Saturday, January 16 to honor the accomplishments of the 2015 squad.
Lorenzo Long earned Most Valuable Player honors as selected by his coaches and teammates.

Long, a native of Pensacola, Florida, started all eleven games at fullback for the Terriers. He led the team with 969 rushing yards on 178 carries and scored a team-high eight touchdowns. Among Southern Conference leaders, he was fourth in rushing yards, seventh in touchdowns scored, and eighth in all-purpose yards. Long had three 100+ rushing games this season, including a high of 194 yards at Mercer on 24 carries. For his career, he has 2,055 rushing yards, which ranks 14
th in school history, and he is tenth in career touchdowns with 25.

The Terriers ended the season 5-6 and were 3-4 in the Southern Conference. The team will begin spring practice in early March in preparation for the 2016 season opener at Tennessee Tech.
