Wofford Falls to ETSU 3-0 Friday

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Wofford volleyball team fell 3-0 to East Tennessee State on Friday night in Benjamin Johnson Arena. Tonight's matchup was the first at home for the Terriers in 20 days and the first match Wofford played in six days.

With the win, ETSU improves to 13-6 on the season and 5-2 in Southern Conference action while Wofford falls to 11-10 overall and 4-3 in conference play. The Bucs have won four matches in a row, all conference matches with the last three being 3-0 sweeps.

East Tennessee State was able to hold Wofford's offensive attack at bay, holding the Terriers to a .211 hitting percentage. The Bucs hit .374 as a team, including an impressive first set percentage of .484. Reigning SoCon player of the week, Briana Allmon, led the Bucs with 11 kills and a .385 hitting percentage from the outside. AJ Lux also had 11 kills as the outside hitter hit .562.
