SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Wofford men's basketball team picked it its first win in the new Jerry Richardson Indoor Stadium with a 103-66 rout of Washington & Lee on Sunday afternoon. The game was the first of four regional games Wofford will play as part of the Maui Jim Maui Invitational. With the win, Wofford, who scored 100+ points for the first time since the 4OT thriller over Samford on February 9, improves to 1-1 on the season.

Cameron Jackson led Wofford, contributing in all facets of the game. The junior forward was Wofford's top scorer with 19 points, but also added seven rebounds, six steals and four assists and two blocks in 26 minutes of action. The six steals is a new career high for the native of Winchester, Va. and the four assists ties Jackson's career high. Jackson was 7-11 from the floor and 5-7 from the line.

Fletcher Magee finished with 17 points for the second consecutive game. The guard went 6-9 from the field, 2-5 from three point range and a perfect 3-3 from the line.
Tray Hollowell, a freshman guard, scored 12 points on 5-9 shooting including back to back three's midway through the second half that quickly stretched Wofford's lead from 35 to 41 points, the Terriers' largest lead of the contest.

Donovan Theme-Love finished with nine, as did
Keve Aluma who scored his first basket as a Terrier five minutes into the game.
Nathan Hoover,
Matthew Pegram,
Dishon Lowery and
Storm Murphy each added eight in the win. For the second straight game, Murphy finished with four assists and had just one turnover in 17 minutes of action.

Wofford scored nearly half its points in the paint as Wofford won that battle 48-22. The Terriers had 24 points off turnovers 42 off the bench and had a 9-0 advantage on fast break opportunities.

Jackson scored the first basket of the game. After a free throw by Jackson and two made free throws by Pegram, Wofford was quickly up 5-0 and never looked back. The Terriers led 57-31 at the half.

Alex Starr sunk a free throw early in the second half, but the Terriers followed with a 12-3 run to push the lead to 34 and the Generals never pulled closer than 29 points.

In total, 12 Terrier saw playing time and 11 scored against the Generals. Wofford, who never trailed in the game, shot 58.7% from the field and held Washington and Lee to just 38.7%. . The Terriers shot 43.5% from beyond the arc and 82.6% from the line. In contrast, the Generals made just 12 of 34 three point attempts (35.3%), and 6-12 (50%) free throws.

After two home games in three days, Wofford hits the road for the next contest as the Terriers play California on Thursday, Nov. 16 at 9 p.m. ET in another Maui Jim Maui Invitational regional game.Â
