Spartanburg, S.C. – The Wofford women's basketball team won 96-54 over Bob Jones on Tuesday evening at Richardson Indoor Stadium. The Terriers dominated from the opening tip as
Chloe Wanink led the Terriers with 20 points while knocking down 2 triples over 21 minutes. With the win Wofford moves to 3-3 on the season.

The Terriers opened the game with a solid defensive effort as Wofford held Bob Jones to 25% shooting in the first quarter while forcing four turnovers in the early going. Wofford spread the scoring around as six different Terriers recorded a bucket in the first quarter. As a team, Wofford shot 8-19 (42%) from the field and 3-4 from the free throw line as the Terriers led 19-10 after one period of play.

Wofford continued the strong defensive effort in the second quarter, going on a 12-2 run in the first 3:45 of the second period. Although Bob Jones improved its shooting percentage, Wofford extended the lead thanks to the hot shooting of
Chloe Wanink and
Cairo Booker. Overall, the Terriers shot 12-19 (63%) from the field and 4-7 (57%) from behind the arc in the second quarter.

The Terriers did not slow down after the half time break as Wofford extended the lead once again in third quarter. Wofford's defense continued to stifle Bob Jones as the Terriers held Bob Jones to just 5-14 (35%) from the floor in the third quarter. Wofford's hot shooting continued with the Terriers going 10-19 (52%) from the floor.

Wofford finished the game with a strong fourth quarter in which the Terriers shot 11-20 (55%) from the floor and 4-7 (57%) from behind the arc. Wofford outscored Bob Jones 29-17 in the quarter while holding the Bruins to just 4-13 shooting (30%). Â

In the win, Wofford shot 41-77 (53%) from the field, 8-20 (40%) from behind the arc and 6-7 (85%) from the free throw line. The Terriers also out rebounded the Bruins by 22, 50-28. Wofford dominated the paint outscoring Bob Jones 56-20 in the painted area. As a team Wofford had 24 assists on 41 baskets (58%).The 42 point victory is the fourth largest margin of victory in Wofford's history.

Chloe Wanink led the Terriers with 20 points and four rebounds while
Cairo Booker added 18 points, six assists and five rebounds. Freshman guard
Cairo Booker dished out 12 assists while turning it over just once.
Jamari McDavid,
Hannah Morgan and
Anna Claire Atha all added ten points for the Terriers.
