CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Wofford women's tennis team fell, 6-1, to Charleston Southern on Saturday afternoon in North Charleston.

The loss snaps the Terriers four match winning streak and drops them to 6-3 on the season.

The Bucs took the first doubles match, winning In the no. 3 spot, 6-1. In the no. 2 position, Wofford's
Catherine Martin and
Lauren Reid won, 6-4, to even up doubles at 1-1. However, Charleston Southern took the point with a 7-6 (7-4) tiebreak win in the no. 1 slot.

In singles play, the Bucs took the first two singles matches in straight sets to race out to a 3-0 lead in the match. The Terriers got on the board, as
Kalli Karas won her match (6-3, 3-1, retired) after her opponent retired, which closed the gap to 3-1.

The momentum for Wofford was short lived, as the Bucs clinched the match with a 7-5, 4-6, 6-2 win in the no. 4 position over
Lauren Reid.

Charleston Southern also took the final two matches to earn the 6-1 victory.

Up next, the Terriers will remain on the road, as they travel to Charlotte to face the 49ers this Wednesday, Feb. 15 at 2:30 p.m.
