Season tickets for the 2017 Wofford College football campaign are now on-sale! This season marks head coach Mike Ayers 30th leading the black and gold and he will look to direct the team back to the NCAA FCS Playoffs again in 2017.
Coming off a 10-win campaign in 2016 and advancing to the FCS Quarterfinals, Wofford finished with Top 5 rankings nationally in rushing offense and total defense.
Looking ahead to this fall, it is an exciting slate of games at Gibbs Stadium beginning Saturday, September 2 against Furman. The 91st meeting between the two teams marks the renewal of South Carolina's oldest football rivalry, dating to 1889. The opener will be a designated "BLACKOUT" game and stay tuned for more details on a special t-shirt that will be made available for this contest.
Wofford will celebrate Family Weekend on Saturday, September 23 highlighted by the only non-conference home game on the schedule against Gardner-Webb. Two weeks later, as the Terriers host Western Carolina, will be our designated "Pink Weekend" as we show our support and raise awareness for those engaged in the fight against breast cancer. Move ahead two more weeks and Homecoming festivities will take place the weekend of October 21 vs. Samford. The final home game is November 4 against Chattanooga for Senior Day and our annual "Salute to Service" contest honoring members of the military and first responders.
Wofford football season ticket prices will not change in 2017, they remain one of the best values in college football at $115 per reserved seat. The most significant change for fans is that the renewal deadline for season tickets is now June 1. After this date, all Gibbs Stadium seats are released to the general public. The general public may purchase seats before this date online by clicking here, but seats previously held by Wofford season ticket holders will be blocked until after June 1.
The Wofford Terrier Club will be introducing a Priority Points System for 2017. Details on how the purchase of football season tickets and Terrier Club (TC) donations ties into priority for basketball tickets inside Jerry Richardson Indoor Stadium as well as future NCAA FCS Football Playoff games will be distributed to TC donors in the coming weeks.
Terrier Club Parking Lot designations will not change for 2017. As Jerry Richardson Indoor Stadium nears completion (late summer), the lots designated for TC Parking in 2016 will remain in the same locations! Grass has fully taken over Lots G and P behind the Stewart H. Johnson Greek Village and fans will continue to enjoy a comfortable, picturesque setting for tailgating this fall.
This season, the Wofford Athletic Ticket Office will offer sales for one road game, November 18 at South Carolina. The easiest way to purchase those tickets will be through the season ticket brochure which lands in mailboxes in the coming days. Tickets for remaining road games will be handled exclusively by the host institution's ticket office and those contact numbers are found inside the season ticket brochure.
