GREENSBORO, N.C. - The Wofford women's golf team completed round three of the Starmount Forest Fall Classic on Tuesday, finishing ninth in a field of 15 teams. The Terriers posted a 323 and 302 on Monday, finishing with a 67-over-par 931 after shooting a 306 in round three.
University of Tennessee won in dominating fashion, posting a 2-over-par 866, while the second place team, UNCG, was plus 37 and High Point and Troy tied for third shooting 40-over.
Freshman
Becca Earl led the Terriers, totaling a 13-over-par 229 to tie for 25th place. Fellow newcomer
Speedy Kent was just a shot behind Earl, capping off the tournament with a 2-over-par 74 to finish plus 14 overall.
Anna Eddy posted her best score in round two on Monday (76) before finishing with a 79 to total 234 for the tournament (+18).
Grace Massengill and
Emma King both rebounded in rounds two and three, totaling 234 and 247, respectively.
Wofford has a gap in the schedule, returning to competition on October 22 to compete in the Appalachian State Hound Ears Invitational.
