Rod Ray has announced the signing of one student-athlete for the 2019-20 season on Wednesday.

The Terriers welcome the addition of Callum Rendle, a native of Berkshire, England, who has announced his commitment to Wofford College through the signing of his National Letter of Intent.

"I worked hard to find the right player for our team and I'm confident that Callum is that guy," asserted head coach
Rod Ray. "He's a hardworking, talented, experienced player with high character. Just the sort of person who will have a great experience at Wofford. Callum's commitment is a win/win. He will help our team."

Rendle has earned excellence awards at the Reading Blue Coat School in tennis, as he is a five-time tennis county champion in England, while reaching the doubles national semifinals in 2018. Additionally, Rendle has reached the quarterfinals of back-to-back British Tour open tournaments in his career. He also participated in soccer and rugby, as well as earning excellence awards in cricket at the Reading Blue Coat School. Furthermore, Rendle has also been recognized for the Duke of Edinburgh Gold Award, a prestigious youth awards program in the United Kingdom that recognizes adolescents and young adults for completing a series of self-improvement exercises.
