JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. – ETSU would outscore Wofford 39-23 in the fourth quarter to lift the Bucs over the Terriers, as the Wofford women's basketball team fell 92-79 at Brooks Gym on Saturday night. The 39 points allowed in the fourth marks the most points allowed in a quarter this season for the Terriers, as the loss drops Wofford to 10-9 and 2-2 in conference, while ETSU moves to 4-15 and 2-1.

Da'Ja Green led all three double-figure scorers for Wofford with a season-high 23 points (7-14 FG), including a career-high five made 3-pointers in the contest. Green also went 4-for-5 from the free throw line, while adding five rebounds, two assists, and two steals.

Jamari McDavid also reached a season-high with 21 points, on 9-of-19 from the floor, three rebounds, three assists, and three steals, while junior
Chloe Wanink followed with 18 points, seven rebounds, and an assist to round out the double-figure scorers.

Niyah Lutz (five points, two rebounds) and
Alexis Tomlin (four points, five rebounds) round out the scoring for the Terriers.

The Terriers came out the gates pushing a 10-0 run, behind scores from
Chloe Wanink,
Jamari McDavid, and
Da'Ja Green, to force an ETSU timeout 2:22 into the contest. A Wanink layup would push the lead to 12 before ETSU would finally get on the board at the 5-minute mark. Wanink and McDavid continued to pace the Terriers, with 18 combined first quarter points, as both teams exchanged buckets to send Wofford up 20-13 at the end of the first.

A Green three followed by five points from McDavid pushed the lead to 10 (27-17), though, a Sadasia Tipps lay-in and three ETSU free throws would cut the margin to five, 27-22, by the halfway mark. Another Green trey ball ensued, as four ETSU turnovers would allow scores for McDavid and
Cairo Booker, though, the Bucs would remain persistent, trailing by three with under a minute left, 34-31. A McDavid finish and
Niyah Lutz find, by Booker, before the buzzer would then go on to send the Terriers up 38-31 at the break.

Wofford showed consistency on the offensive end in the first half, connecting on 16-of-34 (47.1%) shots from the floor, including 2-of-5 (40.0%) from deep. McDavid and Wanink led the way, reaching double figures, with 16 and 10 points respectively. The Terriers also forced 12 first half turnovers for ETSU, while converting 10 points off them.

A Wanink lay-in, McDavid and-1, and Green 3-pointer would start the second half, however, the Bucs wouldn't go away, as ETSU scored 14 of the opening 23 points to bring the lead within two at the media timeout (4:20), 47-45. A Tipps finish and Micah Sheetz jumper cut the lead to one, though, four points from Green and a Lutz corner three produced a five-point margin, 54-49. A Wanink pull-up followed by Sheetz free throws sent the score at 56-53, in Wofford's favor, heading into the fourth.

The Bucs came out spirited, producing an 11-2 run to take their first lead of the game, 64-58, forcing a Wofford timeout 1:28 in. The Terriers responded with four points from
Cairo Booker and a Wanink bucket, though, ETSU continued to answer, pushing a 12-point lead (77-65) with 2:39 left. A Sheetz and-1 and Erica Haynes-Overton lay-in would then give the Bucs its largest lead of the night at 17 points. The Terriers would manage to cut the deficit to 10 within the final minute, however, ETSU would ultimately hold on for the 92-79 win at the end of regulation.

Wofford finished 31-for-69 (44.9%), including 6-for-14 (42.9%) from beyond the arc, for the contest. ETSU, however, shot a blazing 53.4 percent (33-63 FG) from the floor, while hitting 5-of-14 (37.5%) from deep, as the Bucs also took the edge in rebounds, 43-33.
