ROCK HILL, S.C. - Wofford women's golfer Becca Earl won her second career collegiate tournament on Monday, shooting a 3-under-par 141 to claim the Winthrop Fall Invitational by two strokes. As a team, the Terriers finished in second place, posting the lowest 36-hole team score (592) since 2012.

Earl, who has finished in second place and been named SoCon Golfer of the Week already this season, opened up with a 2-under-par 70 before firing 1-under-par in her second 18 of the day. Earl led the field of 51 golfers in par 3 scoring (-2), par 4 scoring (-1) and birdies (9), posting the lowest 36-hole score for a Terrier since Sarah Hurt carded a 141 in 2010. With her score of 3-under-par, Earl was just two strokes behind Hurt's record of 5-under-par for 36 holes. 

"Glad to see Becca get the win after two runner-up finishes to start the season," said Wofford Head Coach Angie Ridgeway.

Wofford's round two score of 292 was the lowest 18-hole score since 2013 (Terrier Intercollegiate), and the total score of 592 currently ranks as the fourth-best 36-hole score in program history. 

"It's great for this team to see hard work paying off," Ridgeway said. 

Kristine Torralba did her part to help the team, tying for fourth place and finishing 2-over-par for the tournament. The sophomore opened up with a 2-over-par 74 in round one before shooting even par in the second round. 

Freshman Lindsey Hollis tied for 18th place, finishing with a 3-over-par 75 in her second round of the day. Nicole Amos rounded out the scoring for Wofford, totaling 159.
