AIKEN, S.C. - The Wofford men's golf team finished play in the Cleveland Golf Palmetto Intercollegiate on Tuesday, finishing 12th as a team.
The tournament was won by South Carolina, which shot 27-under-par in the three rounds, while Wofford shot a 44-over-par 884.
Walker Simas was the high finisher for the Terriers, tying for 21st with a 6-over-par 216. Simas opened the tournament with a 77, before posting a 6-under-par 64 in the second round, closing with a 75 on Tuesday.
Walker Jones finished tied for 49th overall, posting his best score of 69 in the second round to finish with a 222 overall.
Ryan Marter finished just one stroke back of Jones, capping off the tournament with a round three 74.
Stuart Fuller rounded out the scoring for the Terriers, posting a 74 in round one to finish 229 overall.
Wofford next competes in the Furman Intercollegiate which begins on March 22nd.
