JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Wofford women's lacrosse team traveled to Jacksonville University on Friday, falling to the Dolphins 23-3.
Hannah Wurzel,
Ally Furnari and
JoJo Franklin each netted a goal while
Shannon Wulff and
Emily Elstun dished out assists.
Kelsey Thompson had 10 saves in net, picking up a pair of ground balls.
Jacksonville jumped out to a 6-0 lead before Elstun found Franklin to get the Terriers on the board. The Dolphins scored the next seven until Wurzel found the frame for Wofford.
Furnari scored early in the second half, but the Dolphins coasted to the victory.
The Terriers will have a chance to rebound on Sunday, facing Stetson at noon.
