SPARTANBURG, S.C. - Rounds one and two of the 2019 Wofford Invitational were played on Monday at the Country Club of Spartanburg, with Furman (-15) holding the team lead over Austin Peay (-6) and Wofford (-5).
Gardner-Webb, which shot even par, sits in fourth place and Radford rounds out the top five entering day two, totaling 1-over-par.
Individually, Furman's Jack Crosby and South Carolina's Ryan Hall are tied for first place, shooting 9-under-par for the day. Wofford sophomore
Ryan Marter was the top finisher for the Terriers on Monday, shooting a 4-under-par 68 in round two to finish 4-under for the day.
Walker Simas had a strong first round, shooting 4-under-par through the first 18 and currently sits in a tie for 12th place at 1-under-par.
Matthew Copeland and
Walker Jones are each 1-over-par after the first two rounds, while
Stuart Fuller is 8-over-par, improving by six strokes from round one.
The third and final round is scheduled for a shotgun start at 9 a.m. on Tuesday.
