Stout Heinrich Academic All District 2019

Heinrich and Stout Named CoSIDA Academic All-District

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Wofford College student-athletes Conrad Heinrich and William Stout have been named to the 2019 Google Cloud Academic All-District® Men's Track & Field/Cross Country Teams, selected by CoSIDA, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.
 
Heinrich, a senior from Sugar Land, Texas, won the decathlon at the 2018 and 2019 Southern Conference Outdoor Championships. He was first at the 2019 Southern Conference Indoor Championships in the heptathlon. Overall he has been named All-Southern Conference six times in his career and holds school records in both the decathlon and heptathlon. A finance major, he has a 3.92 grade point average. This is the second straight season he has earned Academic All-District honors.

Stout, a junior from Nashville, Tennessee, was third in the decathlon at the 2019 Southern Conference Outdoor Championships. He was also third in the heptathlon at the 2019 Southern Conference Indoor Championship. He has been named All-Southern Conference five times. Stout also holds the school record in the pole vault.  He is a biology major with a 3.98 grade point average.
 
The total number of Wofford student-athlete to earn Academic All-District honors this academic year is five, with Heinrich and Stout joining Blake Jeresaty (football), Hayley Younginer (women's soccer), and Alec Cargin (baseball).
 
The Google Cloud CoSIDA Academic All-District team is selected by members of the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). Wofford is in the fourth district, which includes schools in Alabama, South Carolina, Georgia and Florida. Nominees must have at least a 3.30 grade point average. First-team Academic All-District honorees advance to the Google Cloud CoSIDA Academic All-America Team ballot, where first-, second- and third-team All-America honorees will be selected later this month.
