Wofford is now 3-6 on the season, falling to 0-1 in SoCon play. The Terriers remain on the road, traveling to Samford for a matchup with the Bulldogs on Sunday at 7 p.m.
The Mocs came out firing, forcing a diving save by Mon less than two minutes into the game. Despite not converting on the corner, the Mocs would go ahead minutes later when Mackenzie Smith found Osa Iyare in front of the net.
Karen Majewski and Miller looked to equalize with shots of their own, but Maddie Burman doubled the Chattanooga lead in the 40th minute.
The Terriers registered the first two shots of the second but could not find the back of the net as Maggie Shaw made the score 3-0 in favor of the Mocs. Despite a stoppage due to lightning, Wofford kept fighting but could not get on the scoreboard.
