JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. – The Wofford volleyball team secured a crucial victory to spoil ETSU's Senior Night on Friday evening at Brooks Gymnasium, as the Terriers dropped the Bucs in four sets, 25-21, 25-22, 20-25, 26-24, to move to 9-6 in the Southern Conference and 15-12 overall. Freshman
Sarah MacLean led with a career-best 17 kills, followed by
Emory Wyatt (career-high 15 kills) and
Kennedy Smith (12 kills, 11 digs) to highlight Wofford's performances on the night.

MacLean hit. 452 on 31 swings for the night to achieve the personal milestone, as the middle blocker also added a solo block, while Wyatt hit .300 on 30 swings for the night, in addition to adding four blocks and a dig defensively.

Kennedy Smith corralled her fifth double-double of the season, and seventh of her career, with 12 kills and 11 digs. The junior additionally recorded two blocks and three assists to round out her contributions on the night.

Sarah Barham added five kills and eight blocks, while setter
Emily Hodsdon filled the stat sheet with a match-high 51 assists, nine digs, four blocks, three aces and two kills.

Wofford has tallied 10 or more blocks as a team in each of the past five matches, as the Terriers recorded a 15-12 advantage in blocks for the match.

Overall, the Terriers finished with edge in kills (62-57), digs (80-78) and assists (59-56), while finishing the match hitting .228 and holding the Bucs to .188 to pull away in four.

Mary Emily Morgan was solid on the night with eight kills and a consecutive 16-dig performance, to couple with two assists and a block, as senior
Robyn Krause posted a career-best 18 digs defensively to pair with an assist and ace. Sophomore libero
Kaitlyn Brown posted her fourth 20-dig match for her career with a team-high 23 digs, while also dishing two assists.

Wofford (15-12, 9-6 SoCon) heads into its regular-season finale at Chattanooga on Saturday afternoon with a chance to notch its best Southern Conference finish in program history under head coach
Lynze Roos. The Terriers hold a one-match lead in third at 9-6, as a victory over the Mocs would solidify the Terriers as the Southern Conference Championship's No. 3 seed.

Additionally, a victory would match a program record for conference wins (10) for the second consecutive season.
