Lutz scored a running two as the last basket for Wofford as the rest of the game was down to the free-throw line. With ice in their veins, McDavid went 4-4, Hatton made 3-4, and Carman sealed the deal with the final point to give the Terriers the win.

th quarter and held the Bulldogs to 26%.
"They're [Samford] one heck of a team and to come out and play the way we did tonight shows a lot about our character. We knew we were going to have to score in the 70 range and we did just enough to get that", said head coach
Jimmy Garrity. "It's tough to pick them apart, but we got open looks in the 2
nd half and made some big shots. We also held them at crucial times and didn't allow them to get going. It really came down to those late free-throws and we did what we had to do to get to the line and convert, and I'm super proud of our effort tonight."
The two teams will duke it out again for an afternoon showdown on Saturday at 2:00 pm.
