Matthew Copeland sits tied for fifth after two rounds of play on the opening day of the Pinnacle Bank Intercollegiate, hosted by Francis Marion University, in Hilton Head Island, S.C. Wofford currently sits sixth out of 16 teams through the first two rounds of play, as senior
Ryan Marter also enjoyed an impressive first day of competition, tied for 11
th after Monday's performance.

After finishing with a 4-over-par 76 in the first round, Copeland was locked in for round two, notching three birdies throughout the round to finish with a 1-under-par 69 and vault 43 spots up the individual leaderboard to be slotted T-fifth with a total score of 145 on the day.

Marter opened the first round solid, recording an eagle on the fifth hole prior to corralling three birdies down the stretch to finish even (72) after the round's conclusion. Marter then finished 2-over-par (74) in the second round, allowing him to climb up the leaderboard to T-11
th at the end of the day's competition.
