KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C. – Sophomore Nicole Amos (+10) finished tied for 36th after the Kiawah Island Classic's third and final round of play on Tuesday, finishing with a three-round career-low to lead the Terriers to finish 16th out of 41 teams in Kiawah Island, S.C.
 
Amos, a native of Kent, England, was the lone Terrier to place within the top-50, as she opened the first round with a 77, prior to recording birdies on holes No. 4, No. 8 and No. 11 in the second round to register a 2-over-par 74. Amos then added another birdie in the third round on No. 14 to finish with a 3-over-par 75, as the sophomore tallied a three-round total of 226, finishing two strokes better than her previous career-low set at the Terrier Intercollegiate in October (228).
 
Wofford (+55) finished 16th among the field, as top-ranked Division II Dallas Baptist (+1) claimed the tournament's crown by 27 strokes, followed by host College of Charleston (+28) and ETSU (+31). The Terriers recorded a total team score of 919, finishing one stroke behind IUPUI (+54) and one stroke better than Austin Peay State (+56).
 
Dallas Baptist's Faith DeLaGarze (-3) was also the individual medalist for the tournament, seeing 210 players make up the Kiawah Island Classic's field.
 
Wofford scored wins over Morehead State, Youngstown State, Oakland, Delaware, Samford, Lipscomb, UT Arlington, Western Carolina, William & Mary, Dayton, Longwood, Radford, Tennessee Tech, Eastern Michigan, UNC Asheville, Butler, Presbyterian, Detroit Mercy, Indiana State, North Alabama, Towson, Delaware State, The Citadel and Alabama State.
 
Overall, the Terriers recorded 24 birdies over the tournament's span, including eight each in the first and second rounds.
 
Sophomore Lindsey Hollis (+13) finished tied for 51st, as junior Kristine Torralba (+17) tied for 83rd. Hollis finished with a round one score of 76 before carding three birdies in the second for a 3-over-par 75. Hollis added a birdie in the third, though, a trio of bogeys on the back-nine slotted her 6-over-par to end with a total score of 229.
 
Lina Settelmayer (+18) finished tied for 92nd, while Becca Earl (+20) rounds out the Terriers tied for 112th.
 
Next, Wofford is scheduled to host the Low Country Intercollegiate in Hilton Head Island, S.C., scheduled to start Saturday, March 13 through Sunday, March 14 at the Moss Creek Golf Club.
