QUOTABLE
Infielder
Jack Renwick – "Today was a big win and a great way to start the series. Coming in we wanted to get our style of play out on the field. It was a close game late and we found a way to scrap our way to some runs. From there our pitching staff took care of business and closed the door."
Pitcher
Josh Vitus – "In a good way and a bad way I've been in that same situation before (coming out of the pen earlier than expected). That definitely helped me keep my emotions under control. Also, the way catcher
Cameron Gill and the rest of the defense played it made things easy on me."
UP NEXT
The two teams will play a doubleheader on Sunday beginning at 1:00 p.m. to conclude the series.
