DOVER, Del. – The Wofford women's lacrosse team lit the nets up in Dover, Delaware on Saturday afternoon, seeing four Terriers score three goals or more to lift the Terriers back into the win column with a 20-9 triumph over Delaware State (1-8) at Alumni Stadium. Seniors
Shannon Wulff and
Elisabeth Ralph paced the Terriers with five points apiece, as a number of season and career-high performances move Wofford to 2-5 overall to conclude the nonconference slate.

Wulff, a senior from Chapel Hill, N.C., dished a career-high four assists to pace the Terriers' attack in addition to a goal. Ralph bounced back into form, slotting a season-high and match-high five goals on seven shots-on-goal, while scooping up three ground balls.Â

Wofford posed a threat from all angles, recording a season-high nine assists as a team collectively for a balanced scoring attack.

Additionally, the 20-goal outburst marks the second consecutive against Delaware State after defeating the Hornets, 20-7, on April 12, 2021.

The Terriers overpowered Delaware State offensively, amassing a 35-19 shot differential for the match, including a 30-15 shot-on-goal advantage. Wofford also tallied 22 ground balls to the Hornets' 10.

Leah Hurley matched a season-high performance with three goals and an assist for four points, in addition to two ground balls, followed by freshman
Carley Irvin with career-highs of four goals and eight draw controls - matching a single-game record last done by
Emma Gentile against Kennesaw State on Mar. 5. Additionally,
Olivia Abé tallied four points with a goal and three helpers on the day.

Emma Krasinski recorded her first career hat trick on five shots-on-goal, while recording season and career-highs of five draw controls and ground balls each, along with two caused turnovers.
Emma Gentile added two goals and four draw controls, while
Shadan Bankston and
Brenna Duley recorded a goal and assist, respectively.

Defensively, the Terriers forced a season-high 11 turnovers en route to a total of 20 for the Hornets, led by
Elisabeth Ralph with a two caused turnovers, as well as caused turnovers from Gentile, Hurley, Abé, Krasinski,
Emma Seif ,

Kirsten Flannigan,
Abbi Pagano and
Moira Carroll.

Aislinn Washburn received the win in-goal for the Terriers through a 13-5 halftime advantage, as freshman

Wofford (2-5) turns its focus to conference play going forward, as the Terriers enter Big South competition with its first test at Furman on Wednesday, Mar. 30. Opening draw is slated for a 6 p.m. start in Greenville, S.C.
