AIKEN, S.C. – Sophomore
Harry Jones (+2) notched his second career top-10 finish to lead the Wofford men's golf team tied for 10
th individually, as the Terriers placed sixth out of 15 teams at the Cleveland Golf Palmetto Intercollegiate, hosted by USC Aiken, at the par-70, 6,617-yard Palmetto Golf Club.

Jones finished with a score of 212, leading Wofford with 12 birdies – good for third-best among the 75-player field. The Terriers led the entire 15-team field in birdies as a team, recording 53 overall.

The Augusta, Ga., native used four birdies in Monday's first round to finish with a 2-under 68 prior to finishing the day off with a 72 through 36 holes of play. Jones then recorded another 72 in Tuesday's final round to remain within the field's top 10 for the second time in his career.Â

Wofford (+24) finished with a total score of 864, entering the final round in fourth prior to finishing 11-over on Tuesday to slide down to sixth place, though, holding a five-stroke lead over the next best team (Furman, +29).

The Terriers scored wins over nine teams, including two Southern Conference squads, in Furman, Presbyterian, Charleston Southern, Samford, Gardner-Webb, High Point, Temple, Francis Marion and Dartmouth.

rd-ranked South Carolina (-8) dominated to win the tournament's crown as the only team under par with a 10-stroke gap between second and third, followed by Virginia (+2) and VCU (+12), respectively. The Gamecocks' No. 69 Ryan Hall won low medalist for the tournament at 10-under.

Walker Jones (+7) followed Jones tied for 25
th with a score of 217, while junior
Matthew Larkin (+8) finished tied for 27
th with a score of 218. Larkin tallied 11 birdies over the tournament's 54 holes.

Sophomore
Cedric Otten (+11) finished tied for 41
st with 11 birdies as well, while junior
Jackson Hill (+15) rounds out Wofford's lineup tied for 56
th with a score of 225.

Wofford is back in action on Thursday, Mar. 24-26, when it travels to Stanford, California, to compete in The Goodwin, hosted by Stanford University.
