Women's Soccer Blanks Longwood For Second-Straight Win

FARMVILLE V.A. – The Wofford women's soccer team shutout Longwood 1-0, in enemy territory, for their second-consecutive win, with both wins being 1-0 shutouts. The victory moves the Terriers record to 2-0-1 to start the 2022 campaign.

Wofford's game-winning goal came in the 24th minute when Ashley Grant found the back of the net for her second goal of the season.

Grant led the Terriers with six shots during the match (five on goal). Megan Childress added another two shots for Wofford (one on goal).

The Terriers were tamed for most of the opening frame with only three shots (two on goal). Longwood rattled off nine shots in the first half with Caroline Doss saving the three on goal, preserving the 1-0 Wofford lead at the half.

From there, the Wofford defense grinded it out the rest of the way, limiting the Lancers to only three shots in the second half (none on goal).
