Chattanooga, TN- Wofford women's soccer fell 2-0 to Chattanooga in the team's final road match of the regular season.
The Mocs called upon Wofford's sophomore goalkeeper
Rylee Godbold from almost the opening whistle, who handled the early pressure to convert her first two save opportunities and successfully neutralize a corner. However, Chattanooga found their two goals on the night in the 17th and 19th minutes before Godbold settled back in and did not concede for the remainder of the contest.
The sophomore's eight saves on the night set a career high and the most by a Wofford keeper since her teammate, senior
Caroline Doss, saved 11 shots against Mercer in a match last season. Fellow sophomore
Ellie Gower's three shots matched her career high set earlier in the season during the Southern Conference opener against VMI back on September 21, 2023.
Wofford returns home to round out the regular season to face in-state rivals The Citadel on Sunday, October 15, and Furman on Sunday, October 22. If the Terriers are able to win those matches, the team would finish with the most conference wins in a season since the 2013 team also won four Southern Conference contests.
