Mary Emily Morgan pulled Wofford back level with one of her own. This sparked a three-point run that put Wofford on top, 10-8. But the squads kept trading blows until the Buccaneers led 22-20 late. Another Morgan kill created another three-point run, punctuated by
Sarah Barham's kill, to put Wofford ahead 23-22. The squads traded each of the next four points, with
Millie Loehr bringing about set point. But the Bucs responded with each of the next three points to claim the first set, 27-25.
Â
Wofford opened set two with three-straight points and led 9-5 early on the back of a three-point swing that featured a pair of
Sarah Barham kills. The Bucs would pull close, but Wofford stayed ahead, leading late 22-18 with another three-point swing. But ETSU responded with a four-point run to tie the match at 22, and the Bucs would then reach set point at 24-23. However,

Â
ETSU led early in set three and later held a 21-15 advantage. But
Sarah Barham tallied a kill, and an ensuing Buc error helped spark a four-point swing for the Terriers.
Bri Mahoney added a kill of her own before Barham closed the run with Wofford down only two points, 21-19. The Terriers kept battling, and though ETSU reached match point, a tandem block by Barham and
Mary Emily Morgan preceded a Buc attack error to pull Wofford within two, 24-22. But ETSU recorded a kill on the next rally to claim the set, 25-22, and the match in three sets.
Â
