SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Wofford College men's tennis head coach
Rod Ray has announced that Jack Burdell has committed to join the team next fall.
A native of Atlanta, Georgia, Burdell is a four-star recruit who plays for the Westminster School. He is ranked as the #7 player in the state of Georgia and is ranked #49 in the southeast. The tennis team at Westminster has won three straight state championships, while he has won five individual tournaments in the past year. He is an AP Scholar and member of the National Honor Society. The son of Bob and Ashley Burdell, his mother played soccer at the University of the South.
"I knew from the beginning that we needed Jack in our program," said head coach
Rod Ray. "As I got to know him better, I became confident that he would thrive at Wofford as a student-athlete. I'm excited that Jack is a Terrier."
The eligibility of all student-athletes is contingent upon admission to Wofford College and compliance with all NCAA rules, including registration with the NCAA Eligibility Center.
