Buies Creek, N.C. - The Campbell Camels took an early lead on a rainy Saturday afternoon and the Terriers weren't able to get back in the game as Campbell picked up a 22-3 win at Barker-Lane Stadium.
Wofford (5-7, 2-2 Big South) trailed Campbell (8-4, 4-0 Big South) by a 9-0 margin after the first quarter. The Camels were able to take a 4-0 lead in the first four minutes.
Leah Hurley was able to get Wofford on the board to open the second quarter scoring. The Camels were able to score the final six goals of the half to take a 15-1 lead into the break.
In the third quarter Camels scored five goals to extend the lead to 20-1.
In the fourth quarter
Emma Krasinski and
Carlie Cutinella got the Terriers their second and third goals of the game. Campbell was able to score the last two goals for the 22-3 final score.
Wofford had five ground balls and two caused turnovers from
Addison Witkowski.
The win in net went to Emma Strickland for the Camels and
Aislinn Washburn recorded the loss for the Terriers.
