INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana - The NCAA Division I Men's and Women's Track and Field and Cross Country Committee has announced the participants for the 2023 NCAA Division I Men's and Women's Outdoor Track and Field Championships preliminary competitions.

Kerrington Johnson will run the 100-meter hurdles and
Tanner Henry will compete in the high jump. This is the fifth straight season that the Terriers have advanced at least one participant to the NCAA East Preliminary.

Johnson, a senior from Anderson, South Carolina, set a meet record in the 100-meter hurdles at the Lee Last Chance on Saturday with a time of 13.69 and then ran a 13.44 at Diesel's Last Chance Meet at High Point on Sunday. She qualified 42
nd in the region to compete in the preliminaries for the third time in her career, becoming the first Terrier to ever qualify three times.

Henry, a senior from Kingsport, Tennessee, cleared 2.09 meters in the high jump at Diesel's Last Chance Meet at High Point on Sunday. He qualified 36
th in the region and will compete for the second time in the preliminaries (2019).

The first round of the 100-meter hurdles will be at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 25, with the quarterfinals on Saturday, May 27 at 6:15 p.m. The first round of the high jump will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, May 26.

The first round competitions are scheduled for May 24-27. The University of North Florida, in Jacksonville, Florida will host the East First Round and California State University, Sacramento and the Sacramento Sports Commission, in Sacramento, California will host the West First Round. The qualifiers out of these two regions will compete in the NCAA Division I Men's and Women's Outdoor Track and Field Championships held June 7-10 in Austin, Texas.
