Wofford Baseball Announces Signing Class

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Wofford College head baseball coach J.J. Edwards has announced the latest signing class of student-athletes who have signed aid agreements or commitment letters to join the Terriers next fall. The signing class is 18 strong, featuring one manager and 17 student-athletes.
 
"We are excited to welcome these young men to our program and college," said Edwards. "Our coaching staff does a tremendous job evaluating talent and scouting the right fits for Wofford College and our program. Each of these young men fit the identity of what we look for in a Wofford baseball player, and we know they will all be great additions to our locker room and the Wofford community."
 
The class features one student manager, two two-way players, two catchers, four infielders, two outfielders and seven pitchers. One of those pitchers is a southpaw. The class spans eight total states, including three from South Carolina. The most-featured state is Georgia with five future Terriers hailing from there.
 
"I'm excited about this incoming class we have joining our program," said associate head coach and pitching coach Pat Brown. "On the pitching side, I believe this class fits our style very well. We are excited for these guys to get to campus next fall and start working with them." 
 
"Our class of position players is dynamic and made up of hitters and fielders that will highlight the way we play baseball," said assistant coach and hitting coach Hudson Byorick. "I am excited to work with these guys for the next four years and watch them develop into exceptional players."

Michael Clemente is a 6-7, 220-pound right-handed pitcher from Waxhaw, North Carolina. Over two high school seasons, Clemente has posted a 2.05 ERA in 43 innings of work. He boasts a 5-1 record with 48 strikeouts, 29 of which came in his junior season. With only 26 innings that year, he averaged over one punchout per inning pitched.
 
Cole Draper is a 5-11, 180-pound right-handed pitcher from Knoxville, Tennessee. Draper has pitched over 78 in high school career, earning all-state, all-district and all-region honors. He was a 5Star Preps Pitcher of the Year and a two-time state championship pitcher.
 
Jack Euart is a 5-8, 170-pound shortstop from Atlanta, Georgia. Euart is a Second-Team All-Region honoree after leading his Marist School team in hits with 35, including eight doubles and a home run. Euart guided his squad to the sweet 16 of the GHSA playoffs in 2023 before advancing to the elite eight in 2024 after a region championship. Euart has also served as a three-year starting quarterback for the football team. He will not be the first of his family to play college baseball, as his father Jef played collegiately for the College of Charleston.
 
P.J. Fitzpatrick is a 6-4, 188-pound right-handed pitcher from Canton, Georgia. In 55 innings of work during his high school career, Fitzpatrick has yet to record a loss. As a sophomore, he posted a 1.02 ERA with 26 punchouts in 24 innings of action. Fitzpatrick has been named honorable mention all-region and all-county. In 72 innings on the bump for the Georgia Jackets club team, Fitzpatrick tossed 86 strikeouts with a 1.04 ERA.
 
Noah Gerrick is a 6-0, 190-pound outfielder from Brookhaven, Georgia. As a junior, Gerrick was named the best defensive player and garnered an all-region honor while guiding his squad to a 29-7 record as part of a region title and Elite Eight finish. Gerrick has earned two different Perfect Game MVP honors and hit over .400 on both his 16u and 17u teams. A two-sport athlete, Gerrick is a four-year letterwinner on the football team.
 
Michael Angelo Giamartino is a 5-9, 180-pound catcher from Manlius, New York. In his school career, Giamartino is hitting .400 with 48 hits, 46 RBI and nine homers. He boasts seven steals with 41 runs scored. After a .367 average and two homers in 2023, Giamartino upped his production to a .433 hitting clip and seven round-trippers in 2024. He was a runner-up for Central NY Player of the Year in 2024 and owns multiple First-Team All-Central NY selections. Giamartino led his high school to a 2024 sectional title, and he also played varsity hockey.
 
Brady Gold is a 6-0, 180-pound shortstop from Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. Gold hit over .460 as a freshman and owns a .350 average throughout his time in high school. A 2024 all-region selection, Gold was named second-team Diamond Prospects. Over the summer with his club, Team Elite Platinum 2025 National, he posted a .405 batting clip with a pair of homers and 20 RBI. No stranger to winning, Gold has been a part of a New Jersey state champion in Little League (2017), a 2023 high school district champion and a 2024 high school region champion.
 
Ace Hansen is a 6-3, 190-pound outfielder and right-handed pitcher from Las Vegas, Nevada. Hansen was a First-Team All-Conference selection in 2024 and boasts All-Region and Las Vegas High School All-Star Team honors. Hansen was ranked by Perfect Game in 2024 as the No. 2 outfielder in the state of Nevada and No. 8 overall for the class of 2025. He's top 500 in the overall class rankings and No. 136 for outfielders. Hansen was the MVP of the Perfect Game Southwest Select Championship in Arizona. He's also a four-year letterwinner in basketball and has earned multiple NIAA All-State Academic Team selections for both baseball and basketball.
 
Will Howard is a 6-2, 200-pound right-handed pitcher from Greenwood, South Carolina. Howard is a three-time all-region honoree with a 2024 SC 3A All-State selection. He has been named team MVP of Emerald High School each of his first three seasons. As a junior in 2024, Howard racked up 81 punchouts over 50.2 innings while walking only 26 batters. A 2023 and 2024 Perfect Game All-America Honorable Mention, he is ranked as a top-500 pitcher by the outlet.
 
Trey James is a 6-1, 210-pound left-handed pitcher from Suwanee, Georgia. Already a four-year letterman heading into his senior season with North Gwinnett High School, James has been named a First-Team All-Region pitcher. As a junior, his fastball topped out at 87 mph. James has aided in back-to-back elite eight finishes in 2023 and 2024 in Georgia 7A with a regional title both of those seasons.
 
Tommy Kirwan is a 6-0, 185-pound infielder from Oswego, New York. Kirwan is hitting .463 over his high school career with over 60 RBI, 45 doubles, 19 triples and 30 steals. He has hit over .400 each of his first three seasons, including a whopping .485 average as a junior. That season saw Kirwan take home First-Team All-CNY honors. He has been named First-Team All-League each season in high school. On the basketball court, Kirwan added over six points per game and two assists per game. Gifted in the classroom as well, Kirwan is top 10 currently in his graduation class.
 
Hiram Lewis is a 6-5, 212-pound right-handed pitcher from Brentwood, Tennessee. Lewis tossed 44 innings as a junior at Ravenwood High School with 43 strikeouts and only 10 earned runs surrendered. He posted a 54 percent K-rate en route to a first-team all-district nod. In the summer and fall of 2024 with the Rawlings Southeast MAD Mavericks, he hurled 16 innings with 26 punchouts and just 10 hits allowed. Lewis also played basketball up to his sophomore year. Hailing from an athletic family, his grandfather played third base at Stanford, and his father played quarterback at Vanderbilt.  
 
Alex Myers is a 5-11, 175-pound infielder from Bythewood, South Carolina. Myers was already a varsity starter as a freshman and most recently hit .366 as a junior with 18 steals and 30 runs scored. He is a three-time all-region honoree, three-time selection to the Diamond Prospect Palmetto Games and MVP award winner of the 2023 Palmetto Games. Myers was a 2024 American Legion All-Star and led Blythewood High School to a district runner-up finish after a state runner-up result the year prior.
 
Will Norris is a 5-10, 170-pound outfielder from Andover, Massachusetts. Over his high school career, Norris is hitting .432 with an on-base clip of .524 and slugging mark of .634. As a sophomore, he tallied a .443 hitting mark and led the state in triples en route to a first-team all-conference nod. Most recently, Norris was team MVP as a junior with a .417 average and 1.083 OPS to claim first-team all-conference honors. He has twice been selected to the Massachusetts All-Star Game. Perfect Game ranks Norris as the top outfielder in the state of Massachusetts for the 2025 class. A tri-sport athlete, Norris also plays varsity golf and hockey.
 
Logan Rembish is a 6-0, 165-pound right-handed pitcher and infielder from Plantsville, Connecticut. With Southington High School, Rembish was named both all-league and first-team all-conference. As a freshman in 2022, Rembish helped guide his squad to a state title. On top of his baseball success, Rembish has played four years of varsity basketball.
 
J.T. Smith is a 5-11, 185-pound catcher from Arden, North Carolina. A three-time letterwinner at TC Roberson High School, he owns a career average of .372 entering his senior campaign with 98 hits, 20 doubles and a pair of long balls. After a whopping .462 hitting mark as a sophomore with 38 hits, Smith posted a .330 clip with 30 more hits as a junior. He has twice been named first-team all-conference and was selected to the Body Armor State Games. He helped lead his team to a 2024 4A state championship.
 
Lucas Vargo is a 6-3, 190-pound right-handed pitcher from Acworth, Georgia. Over 56.2 innings of work in high school, Vargo has tallied 85 strikeouts with just 22 walks issued. With only eight earned runs allowed, he boasts a 0.99 ERA. Vargo is a first-team all-region honoree and a Perfect Game pitching MVP. With the USA Prime club team over the summer, Vargo tossed 30 strikeouts with only two free passes over 19.2 innings.
 
Owen Woodruff is a 5-8, 145-pound team manager from Cedar Point, North Carolina. As a left-handed pitcher in high school, Woodruff posts a 1-1 record over 9.2 innings with 14 strikeouts and a perfect save percentage. A two-way player, Woodruff also played outfield and posted a .707 OPS with a perfect stolen base percentage. Woodruff was a 2023 team scholar athlete and helped his Croatan High School squad reach the final eight of the playoffs. Hailing from a Terrier family, both of Woodruff's parents attended Wofford College with his father Luke a former Terrier football player. His grandfather Richard ran track at Wofford.
 
The eligibility of all student-athletes is contingent upon admission to Wofford College and compliance with all NCAA rules, including registration with the NCAA Eligibility Center.
