SPARTANBURG, S.C. –Wofford defensive back
Darius Malcolm Jr. has been named to the Stats Perform FCS Freshman All-America Team. He previously earned a spot on the FCS Football Central Freshman All-America Team as well.
Malcolm, a second-year freshman from Atlanta, Georgia, is third on the team in total tackles with 76. He has 13 pass break-ups and 4.0 tackles for loss. Among SoCon leaders, he is 16th in total tackles and first in pass break-ups. He is also ranked 15
th in the nation in pass break-ups.
Malcolm was named to the All-Southern Conference second team and the SoCon All-Freshman Team. He was a finalist for the Jerry Rice Award and finished 15
th in the voting. He is the third Terrier in the last two years to earn Stats Perform Freshman All-America Honors, joining defensive back
C.J. Coombes and offensive lineman
